		<description><![CDATA[one could argue, actually, that this article is indicative of a broader trend of nytimes &quot;trend stories&quot; that single out a certain subset of the population and apply those traits to an entire generation or stage of life....buuuut that&#039;s truly beside the point.

i&#039;ll agree with the oh so articulate 26-year-old simon. the article gives men a bad rap by focusing only on the insecure, self-important types. let&#039;s hope the successful women can use those smarts to stay away from them and try to find the simons out there. 

as a journalist myself: just because the media calls it a trend, doesn&#039;t mean it is one.  sometimes, it&#039;s just the result of writer&#039;s block on deadline day :)]]></description>
